that boring activities become perversely much less boring if you concentrate intently on them.
that sometimes human beings have to just sit in one place and, like, hurt.
that you will become way less concered with what other people think of you when you realize how seldom they do.
that the cliché 'i don't know who i am' unfortunately turns out to be more than a cliché
that other people can often see things about you that you yourself cannot see, even if those people are stupid.
that having a lot of money does no immunize people from suffering or fear.
that certain sincerely devout and spiritualy advanced people belive that the god of their understanding helps them find parking places and gives them advice on mass. lottery numbers.
that 'acceptance' is usually more a mater of fatigue than anything else.
that different people have radically different ideas of basic personal hygiene.
that, perversely, it is often more fun to want something than to have it.

el detalle feroz
“And Wittgenstein, as well, I read in some biography, loved to watch cowboy movies: he would go every afternoon to watch gunfights and arrows through the chest for hours at a time. Can you take seriously a person’s theory of language when you know that he was delighted by the woodenness and tedium of cowboy movies? Once in a while, fine – but every day? Yet while these tiny truths about… philosophers (of whom, to be honest, I have read very little) have at least temporarily disabled any interest I might have had in reading them further, I crave knowledge of this kind of detail.”
